Hotstart® is a leading manufacturer of diesel engine heaters based in Spokane, Washington, USA. The company has a subsidiary Hotstart GmbH in Troisdorf, near Cologne, Germany. The company was established in 1942 with the original patent for engine coolant heating. Customers use Hotstart® heaters to preheat their diesel engines giving them easy starts, immediate full power, reduced engine wear, reduced emissions and reduced fuel consumption.

Leading diesel engine applications include standby generator sets, locomotives, equipment/machinery, gas pipeline compressors, heavy duty trucks and marine. Many products carry CSA-C/US approval and UL C/US approval as well as the CE mark. In addition, several products have passed industry and U.S. military shock and vibration testing. The company has been certified to ISO 9001:2000 by QMI and was selected by the U.S. EPA for the first funded project to reduce emissions and fuel consumption in locomotive engines.
