HOTSTART Launches Small Capacity Oil Heater for Oil and Gas Market

Spokane, Wash. –  HOTSTART’s new Small Capacity Oil Heating System is the latest offering for the Oil and Gas market. The OSE is a compact oil heating system which features a pump and automatic controls to heat and circulate oil in small compressors. The heating system is also designed to prelube the compressor frame with a single piece of equipment rather than purchasing a separate prelube unit.

The heating system pulls oil from the compressor sump using a positive displacement oil pump. Oil is heated and circulated through the compressor lubricating system. Prelubing compressors with heated oil reduces condensation and supplies consistent pressure to the lubricating system with minimal variation in viscosity. Compressors can benefit from prelubing in both cold climates and high humidity climates where temperature variations can result in damaging condensation.
