HOTSTART Named Best Supplier 2015 for Rolls-Royce Subsidiary MTU Onsite Energy
Spokane, Wash. – HOTSTART was recently awarded Best Supplier for Rolls-Royce Power Systems subsidiary MTU Onsite Energy for 2015. HOTSTART provides engine preheating systems for standby and emergency generator sets which are manufactured in three MTU Onsite Energy production facilities. HOTSTART was one of five companies to receive a Best Supplier award from Rolls-Royce Power Systems out of 495 global supplier candidates.
Rolls-Royce Power Systems CFO Marcus A. Award winners were selected based on exceptional quality standards, meeting or exceeding on-time delivery and meeting or exceeding MTU’s expectations for environmental protection, cooperation, flexibility and support. “This honor represents a total team effort by all the great people at HOTSTART,” said Terry Judge, CEO at HOTSTART. “We take great pride in serving MTU and look forward to continuing our contribution to their overall success.”
HOTSTART products are shipped to MTU’s generator set factories in Mankato, Minn. and Ruhstorf, Germany. HOTSTART originally supplied engine heating products to Katolight in Mankato dating back to 1995 before the generator set manufacturer was acquired by MTU Onsite Energy in 2008. Following the acquisition, HOTSTART broadened its relationship with MTU and became a global supplier for the Onsite Energy division. HOTSTART began supplying to the Ruhstorf plant in 2013.
MTU presented the awards June 29th in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Sigmar Rennert, Market Manager – Marine and Power Systems, and Andreas Schoenhoff, Customer Service Manager of HOTSTART GmbH accepted the award on the company’s behalf.
