HOTSTART's DLV Dual Fluid Electrical Engine Heater is designed to preheat coolant and oil to heat the prime movers of locomotives as well as diesel and gas engines of generators, marine vessels and mining equipment. For locomotive or machinery applications, the heating system may be connected to shore power in the locomotive yard or equipment bays when not in use. For marine vessels, power is supplied by shore power when docked or by on-board generators while at sea.
By heating and circulating both coolant and oil throughout the entire engine, the DLV heating system eliminates unnecessary idling and saves fuel all while ensuring engine lubrication oil is kept at the optimal starting temperature. The DLV heating system is capable of heating engines up to 300 L displacement and features accurate PT-100 temperature sensors. Users can easily adjust the desired temperature for coolant and oil heat independently.
The DLV control box is equipped with convenient side-mounted controls and a removable lid to maximize possible installation locations where equipment space is at a premium. To further minimize overall footprint, modular DLV systems are available, allowing the pumps and tanks to be installed near the engine plumbing ports while the control box is placed in a location convenient for operator access and monitoring.
Not intended for hazardous locations.
